Our aim at Rooted Group is to support organizations in achieving their primary objectives by disrupting the status quo around equity conversations, embracing a curiosity mindset, and collaborating towards a shared vision.
Discovering Our Purpose.
The Founder and Lead Consultant, Seandra Pope, has a rich history as an experienced strategist and skilled facilitator who helps clients solve complex problems across a variety of different issue areas. She is adept at developing effective strategies grounded in a deep understanding of the larger systems at play. With her expertise, Seandra can identify the root causes of problems and develop solutions tailored to her clients' unique needs.
Initially, as a public policy advocate, Seandra’s mission was to strive for greater diversity in the non-profit sector. Leveraging her extensive network and connections among civil rights activists, she was tasked with establishing partnerships with Black church and clergy leaders in Atlanta. In 2013, she founded Rootled LLC to promote partnership-building and advocacy efforts.
Following the polarizing events surrounding George Floyd in 2020, Seandra shifted her focus from policy advocacy and equity to facilitating healthy and productive discussions on race to enable business leaders to promote collective progress and lead vital conversations necessitated by cultural shifts without losing sight of their larger mission.
As a passionate consensus builder, Seandra is leading a paradigm shift through Rooted Group to inspire authentic conversations where people can honor each other, feel secure making mistakes, learn from them, and move forward toward a common vision.
Rooted's philosophy is centered around creating an environment that fosters productive curiosity and communication among individuals without causing feelings of exclusion, distrust, or disengagement from the conversation.

She has spent her career creating opportunities for policy advocates to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring that diverse voices and perspectives are heard in the energy and climate movement.
Seandra is highly regarded as an expert in her field, having provided public testimony at regulatory proceedings and legislative hearings, while simultaneously working with organizations to better engage in dynamic internal conversations built around honoring the individual experiences that allow organizations to cut a path toward their shared goals.
In addition to her advocacy work, Seandra is also a frequent commentator on the subjects of racial equity, and diversity. Her experience with energy, environmental, and climate policy has led to a renewed conversation about how to provide equity and diversity strategy and perspective across various industries, while staying focused on the mission, vision, and goals of each organization.
